The Central Atlantic States Association of Food and Drug Officials (CASA) is pleased to sponsor the FSPCA Food Traceability Rule (FTR) Training for the Food Industry, a standardized curriculum developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA).

This interactive two-day course provides participants with a practical understanding of FDA's Food Traceability Rule (21 CFR Part 1, Subpart S), including traceability recordkeeping requirements for foods listed on the Food Traceability List (FTL). Participants will learn how traceability information is captured and maintained throughout the supply chain, understand Critical Tracking Events (CTEs) and Key Data Elements (KDEs), and gain practical knowledge for developing and implementing a Traceability Plan.

Why Attend?

The FDA Food Traceability Rule (commonly referred to as FSMA 204) establishes additional traceability recordkeeping requirements for certain foods to help facilitate faster identification and removal of potentially contaminated food from the market. Understanding these requirements is essential for organizations responsible for producing, processing, packing, holding, or selling foods on the Food Traceability List.

 Explain the purpose and scope of the Food Traceability Rule

 Identify Critical Tracking Events (CTEs) and Key Data Elements (KDEs)
